Cal Bollwinkel Broadcasting Scholarship:
In honor of veteran broadcaster, and community leader, Cal Bollwinkel, KTXL FOX40's Cal Bollwinkel Broadcasting Scholarship is designed to recognize and encourage an outstanding student interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting or journalism.
A Place Called Home:
FOX40 works in partnership with Sierra Adoption Services to make family count. Together, we successfully place children waiting to be adopted with loving families through our monthly FOX40 news
segment hosted by news anchor Donna Cordova.

Community Events
FOX40 participated in the 2008 RIVER CITY RUN which promotes health, both of one's body and of natural environment in which we live. The River City Run benefits local sustainable living projects. This event helps in providing a safe beautiful place to live.
The FOX40 Team gathered with thousands of like-minded Northern Californians at Swainson's Hawk Park in Notomas to participate in the 2008 TWILIGHT WALK FOR WISHES, Benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento & Northeastern California.

FOX40 Helping Hand Fund, a charitable fund of the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation, has granted more than $4.5 million in support of local non-profit organizations addressing the health and well being of children, youth and families.
