Weeknight Anchor
Emmy award-winning anchor and correspondent Thomas Drayton has been with Fox 40 News at 10 since 2002.
Prior to KTXL, Drayton served as weekend morning news co-anchor/reporter at KMGH/Denver. Drayton held anchoring and reporting positions at KTVA/Anchorage, KTWO/Cheyenne and KXRM/Colorado Springs.
Recognized for his excellence in reporting, Drayton has received numerous awards and honors including the National Association of Broadcasters' Awards for Outstanding News Anchor, Outstanding News Producer, and Outstanding Investigative Reporting. Other accolades include NAACP Recognition for Leadership and Commitment to the Community, National Association of Black Journalists' Award for Outstanding News Reporting and Associated Press as well as ten Emmy nominations.
Working with various non-profit organizations, Drayton supports numerous projects and hosts many charitable events. He currently holds four local and national board positions, working with families in need and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. He has founded three academic scholarships for underserved children in the community. Drayton previously served as the Sacramento Vice President for the National Academy of Arts and Sciences, where he has founded an additional academic scholarship for minority students who are interested in a broadcasting career.
