Evan Michael co-anchors FOX40 Morning News weekday mornings from 6 to 8 am. Prior to joining the FOX40 team in June of 2007, Evan was the morning anchor at KOAA, the NBC affiliate of Colorado Springs/Pueblo, Colorado for 5 years, following a stint as the main evening anchor for KNVN, the NBC affiliate in Chico/Redding. There, he spent his mornings teaching broadcasting classes at California State University, Chico. His experience also includes that as an anchor/reporter at a business channel in Miami, called Net Financial News.
Evan is a graduate of the University of Miami with a Master's degree in Broadcasting/Television Journalism, and a graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.
While in Chico, Evan met his wife, who was born and raised in California. On Thanksgiving of 2007 they welcomed a baby girl into the world. They are also proud parents of a Jack Russell Terrier named Brewster. Evan is originally from Chicago and is the youngest of five children. He enjoys photography, movies, politics, history, trivia, animals, and music.
